Chicago Aveue Subway
It is kinda neat when you are waiting for a train in the subway at Chicago and State (there is also an elevated stop, the one you most often see in films, at Chicago & Franklin) because, for reasons unknown to me, there is a wall with doorways that separate the northbound and the southbound trains. I have other photos from past years with some pretty decent scenes on the other side of the arches, but I'm only posting here theshots I took a week ago last Monday.

As Below, So Above
A few weeks back, I left the subway at State & Lake. This intersection I mention quite often, primarily because it is a major hub for changing destinations. I had some time to kill, so I went into the Wit Hotel and took photos from the 27th floor while all the booze hounds were watching the Stanley Cup playoffs. Then I went back to street level and talked to the homeless man pictured, Louis, who was hoping to get enough money so he could take the el train to the Viceroy Hotel, an SRO at Maypole and Ashland. The last photo is of the train pulling in.
