Walking around looking for ghost signs last Friday, in an area I hadn't been in for decades (when I was a US Census Agent in 1980, in fact). I got to where Gee (pronounced G-E) Lumber used to be and photographed this huge Firestone Tower. I need to read up more about it.

I well remember Schiltz. Drank a LOT of that beer back in the day. It may not have made Milwaukee famous to us, but it made us walk crooked.
