Orion

The one good thing about the cold winter weather returning is that our nights are so clear and devoid of clouds and--at this time of the morning, 1:42 AM--planes landing/descending at Midway that, as I sit while my border collie Buddy The Mitch sniffs for rabbit trails, I watch the stars above. Orion is due south of my house. Wayne

Since we've moved to the country we are seeing beautiful stars again. We have a nice set of binoculars that will even let us see the mist of the Orion nebula. We've been spending a fair amount of time sitting in the back yard watching for shooting stars.

It's nice to have a clear night to look at the stars. There used to be a pasture behind my aunt's house with a lot of open sky and we'd go there to watch meteor showers. Or Christine and I watched while my mother and my aunted swapped recipes.

Wow, I'm so flattered you came by my blog. Thanks!

Stewart is great isn't he? I've enjoyed doing his assignments and I always enjoy talking to other writers.
