Mah Boy Mah Boy!

Stewart, Charles, and those who didn't comment on the blog: thanks. I am doing much better today, the body adapts in slow ways. The spirit of Elvis guides me on this, what would be his 72nd birthday. I am envied by some for having a story--"Elviscera"--in THE KING IS DEAD, but it tells a sad tale that still hold true. Next on my list of people to outlive, both David Janssen of THE FUGITIVE fame, and Rod Serling, both dead at 49. I'm closing in, baby. As I've said in the past, when I see the Grim Reaper with his scythe, I'll be telling you all "Gotta go. There's my ride." Hunka hunka burning love, Wayne

Well I certainly hope you don't see that sly old Grim Reaper anytime soon. You've still gotta win the Stoker Award! And if Grim does decide to make a stop, why, you could always enlist the help of Elvis to step in and use his fancy karate moves on that old bastard.

Sadly I heard the guy who wrote "Burning Love" passed away also. I can remember not long before Elvis died still had new songs on the radio from time to time - "My Boy," "If You Talk in Your Sleep" then suddenly it was always "My Way" and the final curtain had closed.

Having expressed myself fully on the subject of EA Presley on Sunday sometime between "The Black Swan" and "Nightmare Alley" it's redundant of me to mention that I think the Caveman Elvis of National Enquirer fame is his best look. There is he, straining at stool for the first time in unrecorded history!

You'll be around to entertain us for a long time yet, Wayne. BTW, at work yesterday I posted Happy Birthday signs for Elvis.

So Wayne, what will you do if I go before you?

Stewart, we will keep your brain alive in a jar. You may not know it, but eveeryone who comments on my blog is part of the Illuminati.
Ask Lucas, Von, Sid, and, of course, Lawrence P. Santoro. I'm just sayin, is all.
