Marquette Park & The Nabisco Factory

These photos were taken within a quarter mile of each other, on Kedzie Avenue between 65th Street and 71st Street. Marquette Park is the biggest public park on the south side of the city. I took a few photos of the lagoon that ran beneath Kedzie. There is another that is further north. Between the mossy water in a park long left to the local gangs and the Kraft/Nabisco plant, I've also added a few shots of businesses now gone, and other reminders of what this little section of the city has become.

That plastic barrier isn't gonna keep stuff out of the water very long.
