MY FATHER AND ROBERT MITCHUM (AND JAMES GARNER)

My dad's GP's wife worked the front desk at the office and always called Dad Robert Mitchum in the 60s. I had no idea who he was, or anything about chin clefts. By the time James Garner was appearing in The Rockford Files, he and my dad looked a lot like each other, plus they were both more likely to wear sports jackets than suits.
