Night of The Hawk

January is always our coldest month. December can be bad, but January can really hold on, and it might be part mental, as it starts staying lighter a bit later in the day. Sometimes we can thank Lake Michigan. Yes, tonight we have the Hawk, our own weather term for wind off the lake, but at the same time, the Michigan-Indiana border is getting two feet of snow. With wind chills, we will be below zero until Tuesday, and if the sun is out it really isn't that big a deal. If the others show up, I'll go to the readings Monday, and I'll post on stuff like how soon my fingers lose feeling and the sound of midnight emptiness.
