Eye & Ear Infirmary
Creepy, huh? Just got in from watching The Polkaholics up north with my friend Rick Therrio. Yes, that Rick Therrio. Photos of the band forthcoming, they were indeed fantastic. I'd known about them for years but have never seen them. No accordions. Just straight up polkas with a drummer and two guys on electric guitars. I should have posted a few photos of the Casimer Pulaski Day Parade. Maybe tomorrow. This old infirmary is was about a mile further west from where I was earlier, it was demolished in 2007.

That last one reminds me of Earth-as-it-really-is from "The Matrix" or Earth-as-it-will-be from "The Terminator" movies.
P.S. Thanks for the story--rockin'!
Oh, man. That lowest of the three photos is just great stuff!
Polka! Are you sure it wasn't a nightmare?
Looks like shots from an upcoming Terminator film
Great photos, Wayne! That 2nd one looks like the meetin' place where the climax of the story goes down. - Jeff Funk
Umm, not to be Mr. Smarty Pants, but that was Polish Constitution Day. Pulaski Day was a while back. Not that it really matters. One Polish holiday is pretty much like another: good reason to drink and polka.
Remember Polonia Grove? Every Saturday seemed to officially end with two squad cars and a police wagon. It was what you might call an "active" kind of place. Those were the days.
Awesome pix! :-) Take more night-time photos!
