This Tired City

This is my 100th post. I thought I'd post some random shots of the city to the lyrics of Three Dog Night's "Family of Man": This tired city, was somebody's dream, a billboard horizon as black as it seems, four level highways across the land, we're building a home for the family of man... As far as I know, this is one of their lesser-known songs, but I find myself singing it some days, much to the disdain of anyone within earshot. Enjoy the photos. Wayne

I don't think I know that song. Great pics though. I should take some pictures of Katrina areas here but I guess there's already probably a lot of those pictures available.

I rarely listen to music anymore. It mucks about with my ability to concentrate. I've never understood how anyone can write with such noise going on about them.

I do like Buck Owens, though.

These scenes are begging for you to populate them with Algrenesque characters fighting creatures of evil, monsters who no longer skulk in the alleys but use their corruption to live in the high rises overlooking the wreckage. Sort of "They Live" crossed with "Chicago: City on the Make".
