More B&W Photos For a B&W Night

Its late, its cold, and the last photo isn't even in B&W. But we have snow on the ground, hence the B&W Night part. The bottom photos were taken in various parts of the city itself. The top photo is of a makeshift cross notifying whoever reads it that Barbara was RIP there on August 8th 1998, presumably in a car accident. This is where I used to get the bus when I worked in the Loop, now it is where I get off the bus at night. If you can read the strip mall sign, it says Four Cities Plaza, because there at 87th & Cicero, going clockwise to each corner, you are in Chicago, Hometown, Oak Lawn, and Burbank. Morpheus beckons...Wayne

The top one looks like inspiration for a detective story, very film noir.

The bottom one is horror inspiration, urban spooky - the stuff of "Rosemary's Baby" or "The Exorcist."

Hmm, I should have said the Fire Escape Photo is the mystery inspiration and the black and white with tree is the horror inspiration - for some reason I only saw those two at first. Some kind of Wayne Blog magic at work that kept the other two hidden.

The first one with the purplish background is great. Kind of freaky actually.

thanks, sid and etain and charles and kate. sadly, kate is the only one sharing this same weather. charles, there were about three photos on that role that came out purplish, and it was a very overcast day.

Good shots, dude. Let me add another sharer of the chill to the list. Here I am. Still at zero or hovering near...still loving it: Bleak perfected. Lovely.
