Kind of a surprise when it hit, maybe there was no sense of barometer or temp change as I was sitting in the a/c train car for about ten minutes. I never got wet. On the way to my destination, at Roosevelt Street, I had to go underground to the subway. When I came aboveground, miles north, the storm was over Lake Michigan.
Still shambling the streets of the city Nelson Algren defined, I am the Monster in a madhouse refined. Burma Shave.

I Am The American Dream, illustrated
In 1993, Boneyard Press's Hart D. Fischer gave Damon Threet the print version of "I Am The American Dream", which was originally published in GRUE#7 and then reprinted in ALPHA GALLERY.
Sorry for the duplicate images. I was trying for a theme. Evan Shustak, The American Dream, appears in seven short stories as well as in my 1992 novel THE HOLY TERROR.
